Also YES there's an option to turn off Live as Rewire Master - but you have to stick it in an options.txt message in the Live Preferences folder on your system. I saw a video that showed some info on how to send MIDI to Mainstage from Live, it seemed fairly easy but I’d need to find some things and install and what have you. Ideally I’d want Logic/Mainstage to function as a VST/AU inside Live, but it doesn’t seem you can get that functionality as simple as using NI or Reason or something similar. It automatically adjusts the vocal volume fader in relation to the music, and apparently works very nicely. Unfortunately, the side-chaining feature of the Vocal Rider isn't supported by Ableton's side-chaining function, so it won't work properly.Does anyone know a similar vocal plugin that would do the trick? I'm not really sure. I know it's compatible with Pro Tools, but not Ableton.I checked out the link - thank you! It actually mentions that it's made for Pro Tools though. Do you know that it works for Ableton?Also - Vocal Rider still functions on Ableton to adjust the levels of the vocal, but it doesn't adjust them relative to the music track, which is what I'm searching for. The "Wave Rider" doesn't appear to mention the feature. Compressor it is like "your finger is always on volume fader".I mostly use it when i watch horror movies rather than mixes.(Though I can see it can be useful in some scenarios.) I like it a lot, but I see few reasons getting it, even if it is the best synth Ableton have made IMO. And yes, I've abandoned Suite now for myself, even though we use 9 Suite in the studio.Massive at 149€ is closer to my heart and while it's really old it sounds superb. At least when I do my sounds. My other fav Z3TA+ 2 is not an alternative for anyone else as Gibson put Cakewalk out of commission. Serum at $189 (same in Euros?)is what people keeps mentioning in connection with wavetable synths. It haven't made me want to buy it but I realize it's a great synth. Tweaks to your liking and your off. It's actually inspired me step away from ableton more and migrate back into logic to work on more guitar based tracks along side my ableton stuff. Can't wait to play more with it this week. Cpu hit seems lower than others, allowing me to record at lower sample rates with no hiccups. Check it out or at least demo it.
