When you are ready to advance consider sending the 600 or700 gold card. That way you only have to worry about gathering about 300 - 400gold to advance.Age III -I assume that by now you are done building most buildings you need to make. Ijust keep the Settlers on wood that I had at age II but stop tasking Settlersto it as you make more. When you start to run out of hunting and gathering youcould send about half of them to gather the wood you need and as soon as theycan build the mills and plantations, while the rest finish gathering whateverit is they are gathering. So other then that, just keep pumping out Settlersto food and gold.Age IV -So by now you should have a whole bunch of Settlers, hopefully finishedbuilding houses and hopefully pumping out military units. Once you get maxSettlers and finished up making mills and plantations the only thing you needwood for is artillery.Age V -Mostly the same as IV. Actually the opposite feeling; I'm in a hurry in S III because of that whole get-gold-quickly power-based system, having conquered some land doesn't always mean that you can see what's happening on it(a thing that I personally like, though XP ), the maximum map size being smaller as in S IV(so the first"encounter"may happen sooner) and in general the fact that I am not nearly as skilled as I am with S IV, even though it's the same basic gameplay. XD Would you consider yourself being more skilled with S III, or evenyly skilled on both gameS? This would be an interesting point to discuss further.Solaris2: I dont know if settlers 4 have a Community to play multiplayer online, Settlers 3 still have a Lobby and enough players to play... Sadly, both online servers were shut down some years ago... Settlers III was brought back with fan effort, but as the MP stability for S IV is the worst thing the game has to offer, it doesn't seem like they even tried to bring it back. XD But for private matches, Hamachi works just fine(just remember to save often!).SlaxVice86: I myself, even if I like the way ornamental buildings work, prefer the gold-based military power better, if simply because of the fact that you can try to"steal"it. Rhineland: On the other hand the "spiritual upgrading" in Settlers 3 has advantages too. The biggest one is that you are not dependent on a single ressource (gold) you either find or you don't, so you can always get better soldiers, at least in passive battles on your own soil. In theory, this is a very good idea. But still, I see it the same way like you. Overall the gold-based upgrading (Settlers 4) is better, but for me this is not due. This new mod has been tested with LooksMenu Customization Compendium and has shown no compatibility problems with it.=====Known Issues:If you're currently using my "Lots More" hair mods, my Beautiful Female Settlers Mod, and/or my Better Settlers - The New Settlers - Beautiful Female Settlers Merged Patch mod, and you replace them with this mod (run this one instead) there will be a few issues.As a side effect of merging the custom hair mods without conflicts, the FormID's for the custom hair are different in this mod than in my "Lots More" hair mods. This means if you disable the previous "Lot More" hair mods, any custom hair on your current Settlers (assuming you run Beautiful Female Settlers or the BS-TNS-BFS Merged Patch) will no longer be present in your current savegames, and will revert to default hair.Since the settlers in this mod are all added records, any Settler NPCs generated from BFS or the BS-TNS-BFS Merged Patch will have different records and if you uninstall those mods, any Settlers generated by those mods in your current savegames will be changed.If you decide to keep running the "Lots More" hair mods and/or my BFS or BS-TNS-BFS Merged Patch mods, there should be no conflicts as long as this mod is lower in your load order than those mods.One side effect of keeping the "Lots More" hair mods is that the character customization menu will then have two copies of every added custom hairstyle.=====Credits:Thanks to veter75n and his mod The
