(Right now I am using XE 2020 Build 810a 32-bit public portable.)I divided the window in two horizontal parts – each one has a lot of locked tabs, because I work in many different directories. One week ago my PC was upgraded / updated from Windows 7 (professional 64 bit) to Windows 10 (professional 64 bit).Since then my FC shows a very weird behavior from time to time: No matter which folder tab is open – suddenly my task-bar (which is set on auto-hide) flips up and down several times. And at the same time the FC also shows some flipping action until it goes to the top directory "This PC" in both - the upper and in the lower half of my FC window. When I go back to the folder where I was the appearance is very different from the one before that "flipping action":The column sizes are completely different, the column "Created" is missing, and the column "Modified" cannot be sorted anymore.I have to close FreeCommander and re-open it and then everything is fine... until it flips again, which can happen after two minutes or three hours.Up to now I couldn't find out by what it is triggered...Does anybody have an idea about that issue?I am curiously waiting for your replies...Thank you very much in advance.Tomlin. Simply copy that text to Notepad and save it with .reg extension, for example, "FC_folder_view.reg" and simply run it with Enter key. Don't forget to restart FC XE after that settings applied. And don't forget to make a registry backup BEFORE apllying .reg file in case you'll don't like such a behaviour! You should only check your current FC XE path @=""C:\\Program Files (x86)\\FreeCommander XE\\FreeCommander.exe" /C /L="%1""If you have 32-bit version installed in C:\Program Files (x86)\FreeCommander XE\ then everything is fine, if not - change path. horst.epp Posts: 498 Joined: 15.11.2008, 20:18 Re: Set FreeCommander XE 2015 As default folder view in Win #6 Post by horst.epp » 06.01.2016, 18:57 Since several Windows versions you need the following as first line and not REGEDIT4Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 Windows 11 Home, Version 24H2 (OS Build 26100.3476)Everything Version 1.5.0.1391a (x64), Everything Toolbar 1.5.1, Listary Pro 6.3.2.88FreeCommander XE 2025 Build 926 64-bit donor rich1344 Posts: 3 Joined: 18.03.2016, 20:39 Location: Redwood City, CA USA Re: Set FreeCommander XE 2015 As default folder view in Win #7 Post by rich1344 » 18.03.2016, 21:34 I'm on. I installed the latest version - XE 2020 build 810a 32 bit. Now whenever I right click on anything, the context menu comes up on a different monitor. I can set the FreeCommander window to be very small, and put it in the center of one monitor - and then right click on something - still, the menu comes up on a different monitor.I use two monitors as well as the laptops build in screen. Only when the FreeCommander window is on the laptop screen does the context menu show on the same screen. MS Windows Explorer does nto have similar behavior. Is there anything I can do to change this ...., It's quite awkward. The context menu for the directory tree will appear on the same screen as the app.If I close the laptop screen, then things work fine - everything appears on the same screen. Since the Covid outbreak I'm now working with just the laptop and ONE connected monitor. Who is online Users browsing this forum: No registered users and 3 guests
