Here are 10 Power Rangers costume redesigns that made the suits worse. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers’ Green Ranger was based on Zyuranger’s Knight Burai, the extra Ranger in the Super Sentai series. The Green Ranger’s suit is one of the most iconic Power Rangers costumes, much thanks to the unique chest shield. While the Green Ranger's costume itself was no different from the rest of the Rangers, the chest shield set him apart from the other characters. The problem is that, in the original American Power Rangers footage, the Green Ranger’s chest armor looked way too cheap.
