2025-04-01Windows. Its weird why Creative have separate drivers for it even though its using the same DSP, but the drivers works as intended. "X-FI Titanium HD" card (SB1270) uses a different driver than the "non-HD" Titanium X-FI cards (SB088x)possible new driver for Titanium HD on Reddit (which makes it work on win10 v1903)Titanium HD Driver fix for Windows 10 v1903X-FI Titanium HD drivers for 1903 : when? #135 >"X-FI Titanium HD" card (SB1270) uses a different driver than the "non-HD" Titanium X-FI cards (SB088x) it doesn't, the driver binaries don't have any difference in feature sets compared to the non hd, it all comes down to minor differencing in the Inf, hence why the hd device work with danielk's repacks. #137 new beta driver for other X-FI cardsXfi 20k1 Drivers for Windows 1903 (BETA)should also work along danielk's packs So creative ditched their own forums in favor of reddit? Pretty lame move, a lot of history just threw to the bin.Well, anyway, i will try this driver.Or i will not as setup shows to me message about unsupported hardware but i have creative x-fi titanium and windows 10 1903. #138 I must have missed it somewhere but what is the problem these drivers are meant to fix? Both my card works fine in windows 10.Never mind I googled it and see I'm on Windows build 1803 which is unaffected by the issue. Apparently on build 1903 the speakers are not detected. Last edited: May 24, 2019 #139 So creative ditched their own forums in favor of reddit? Build-in subwoofer is incredibly distorted, even setting "Internal Subwoofer" on 1 creates wall of distorted sound2. Using a S/PDIF, can't get DTS Neo to work or I'm doing something wrong. Because previous mod from does not work anymore in creator update so I recently obtained a sound blaster x-fi Titanium. I found out DTS connect and dolby digital does not work on SPDIF, only on speakers, and I contacted sound blaster tech support, they could not solve the problem, then later found out when I set to speakers to default in windows audio, DTS and DDL become available but I only have a sound bar connected to SPDIF out and nothing connected to speakers, it is strange but works for now. Realteak still not working with mods from page 37 and 68 (Unlocked Realtek HD Audio Drivers Windows 7, 8 and 8.1) .you file fix both? what is sound blaster x-fi MB5? does it replace sound blaster control software from windows 10 drivers? 2025-04-12#1 Okay, so I have the following two sound cards already:Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD PCIe x1 andSound Blaster Recon3D PCIe x1 Which is the overall better card if I mostly listen to music & audio ranging from V0 to 24-bit FLACs and do some gaming - primarily CS:GO?? I've got both card already, have been using the X-Fi Titanium HD since 2011, and absolutely love it - then I came across the Recon3D sound card in a pile of unused computer parts in my little brothers room. I was about to sell it until I realized it was a $100 sound card - now I want to know if it would be considered an upgrade to my existing X-Fi Titanium HD card.If it matters for the critics and audiophiles, I currently have a set of Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 speakers, Sennheiser HD280 Pro headphones, and Bose IE2 earbuds.Any input regarding this is greatly appreciated! #2 Titanium HD 100% without question is the superior card. The Recon3D was a failed sound card anyway, so I wouldn't touch it with a 10ft pole, not to mention it being cheaper for a reason.Don't worry too much about the critics, so long as YOU enjoy what YOU bought, that is what matters in the end of things. If you do want to look at headphone upgrade though, feel free to post #3 The first one you listed has 122dB SNR and the second only 102dB. However, the second has surround. That's probably of little importance in proper surround setups as they all use digital amplifiers nowadays, but there is a trick you can do by plugging some cheap analog speakers into the rear outs and turning them on when you want surround. (The quality of the rear speakers are much less critical than for the fronts.)For the most part, it really only matters when using headphones. Good speaker setups use digital amplifiers that work every bit as well (no pun intended) with onboard. Thread Starter #4 Thank you very much! I didn't know squat about the Recon3D & Core3D cards, but I figured that the X-Fi Titanium HD was the superior card to begin with. #5 Glad to be of help
