A parte de eso se preocupan por comer, socializarse y reproducirse.Los yukkuri pueden vivir en manadas de hasta decenas de yukkuris, a lo cual viene muy bien la poca memoria ya que al no saber cuando se unieron a la manada piensan que llevan juntos toda la vida. La jerarquía de estos grupos también conocidos como familias, es según el tamaño de sus miembros, siendo el líder el mas grande.Entre los tipos, los yukkuris se pueden dividir en "buenos" y "malos". Por ejemplo, una "buena" Yukkureimu es muy amable y una buena madre, mientras que una "mala" es perezosa y egoísta, hasta el punto de no preocuparse por sus crías. Un "bueno" Yukkurisa es honesto y abnegado, mientras que un "malo" es violento y con gusto traicionará a sus amigos para salvar su vida. Una "buena" Yukkuralice es altiva pero amable e inteligente, mientras que una "mala" es un violador en serie.El objeto mas preciado de cualquier yukkuri es su accesorio. Si lo llegan a perder eso haría que dejaran de tomarse lo con calma y serian menospreciados por otros yukkuri hasta el punto de que no los reconozcan como tal.Los yukkuri también pueden domesticar se y se les pueden enseñar trucos pese al tedioso esfuerzo que seria. Esto hace que sean notablemente mas inteligentes. El problema de esto es que si el yukkuri es abandonado no sabrá acicalarse y acaba deformadose por el crecimiento de los dientes.Biologia yukkuriLos yukkuri son cabezas amorfas que pueden llegar des del tamaño de una pelota de golf a una de baloncesto. Pero se han visto yukkuris de mayor tamaño siendo incluso mas grandes que una persona.Están hechos de pasta de judía en su totalidad, siendo que las partes como los dientes o los accesorios están hechos

El tipo de pasta varia dependiendo del yukkuri.La alimentación yukkuri consiste en comer absolutamente todo lo que puedan, ya que desafiando las leyes de la física, lo convierten todo en su tipo de pasta de judías.La capacidad de regeneración de los yukkuri es excepcional. Son capaces de perder grandes porciones de su cuerpo y regenerarse en cuestión de horas. Beber zumo de naranja hace que puedan regenerarse incluso mas rápido.Los yukkuri al estar hechos de pasta de judía tienen debilidad al agua, pudiendo ver como se disuelven en charcos, ríos o incluso con la lluvia. La parte dura como los accesorios no se disuelven y algunos yukkuri como yukkurisa los utilizan como medio de transporte acuático.La reproducción yukkuri es la mayoría de veces asexual siendo que cada cierto tiempo les crece una pequeña rama, donde crecen copias de la madre pero mas pequeñas que crecen absorbiendo la pasta de la madre. Otra manera asexual seria la de yukkuwrigle que al morir, de su interior salen las crías.Aunque de normal sean asexuales , también pueden reproducirse de manera sexual. Frotan su cuerpos y de alguna manera el que es frotado podrá tener el recimo con yukkuris tanto de parte de madre como de "padre", aunque también en algunos casos pueden producirse fusiones de genes. Por ejemplo de un Yukkureimu y un Yukkurisa pueden salir tanto yukkureimus como yukkurisas o también puede salir un yukureisa, teniendo este características de los dos.Referencias al yukkuriEn la OVA del anime "Pani poni dash" aparece un yukkuri reimu enfrentándose a un robot gigante.En el anime "Natsu no arashi" aparece un yukkuri en una veleta para el viento.En el capitulo 12 del manga oficial de touhou "Silent sinner in blue" ZUN hace una referencia cuando el cohete en una narración diciendo "el cohete ha sido destruido!" "no es momento para tomárselo con clama!"
